In 2017, we embarked on a significant and exciting investment programme across our hotels tothe value of £6million, designed to maximise our guest’s comfort and enjoyment. Investments in 2017 included function room and public areas at Hallmark Hotel Liverpool South, extensive bedroom refurbishments at several hotels including Hallmark Hotel London Chigwell Prince Regent, a stunning bar area at Hallmark Hotel Manchester Airport and an exclusive football training pitch at Hallmark Hotel The Welcombe.
The investment has continued into 2018, including Hallmark Hotel Preston Leyland which has undergone an extensive refurbishment after achieving its highest ever revenue results and an increase in social banqueting. Over half a million pounds have been invested into refreshing the design and infrastructure of its bedrooms and bathrooms.
John Knowles, General Manager at Hallmark Hotel Preston Leyland said: “We spent sufficient time in 2017 gathering guest feedback to help us distribute investment wisely and ensure we remain at the forefront of a competitive market.”
Hallmark Hotel Birmingham Strathallan has invested over £2 million into refreshing the design of its conference rooms, bedrooms and suites. Situated in leafy Edgbaston, just five minutes from Birmingham New Street and a stone’s-throw from the city’s renowned Arena, the hotel is popular among business travellers and as a venue for events.
The refurbishment project has seen 53 of its 135 bedrooms turned into City Doubles, refurbishment of its Wallace Suite, 18 Classic Twin bedrooms and six other meeting rooms which together hold up to 170 delegates.
Amy Windsor, General Manager at Hallmark Hotel Birmingham said: “The widespread refurbishments have given, what was already a popular hotel, a more modern and streamlined feel. Hallmark Hotel Birmingham has a natural focus towards corporate and business guests and the increased space and investment will help us extend our offering to new and returning visitors.”
Hallmark Hotel The Welcombe in Stratford-upon-Avon has invested £100,000 to refurbish its luxury state of the art Spa which re-opened on Monday 26 March.
