Originally built in 1727 as a hunting lodge in what was then part of Windsor Park The house offered rest to Royal hunting parties before resuming chase. In 1737 the English Poet, Thomas Gray, visited his uncle who owned the house and was inspired to write his Elegy in a Country Churchyard, today it's an elegant four star hotel ideally located in 10 acres of beautiful gardens and manicured lawns in a peaceful setting, yet minutes from the M4/M40, Burnham station and Windsor town centre.
