We're Turning Eight! 04 Jun 2014

It’s our birthday! Well not yet, but it is on Friday 6th June and we have started making plans to celebrate. It is time to reminisce and look back over the eight years through the laughs, tears and most importantly the successes. So where did Hospitality Guaranteed first begin? I’m sure most of you reading this will already know our directors Amanda and Victoria and will have met them at one point in the Hospitality industry. Imagine Amanda, Victoria and Amanda’s dog Charlie starting the foundations of Hospitality Guaranteed in the comfort of Amanda’s front living room, with spreadsheets coming out their ears, masses amounts of emails and the phone constantly off the hook. This was eight years ago on the 6th June 2006. Today, we have a proud team of 14 employees and we have recently moved into larger offices at Wynyard Business Park.

With the launch of HG Onestop, Hospitality Guaranteed now uses a bespoke online system to manage and support conference enquiries, storing and archiving data as well as being accessible with a touch of a button, 24/7. HG is currently working on launching Accommodation Stop and Apprentice Stop with the same functions after the success of Conference Stop. Just recently we were also shortlisted for the North East Business Awards, being in the top 3 to receive an Internet and ICT award based on the launch of HG Onestop. Hosting a large event in 2015 has also allowed us to adapt the system to create an Events platform which will be going live very shortly. To celebrate our birthday and achievements we are offering you an opportunity to enter our exclusive birthday competition. To tease you with a taste of the prize, read what we thought of the NEW Mottram Hall...

Has it ever been one of those weeks where the weekend seems to never arrive and all you want is a massage, time to yourself and time to relax? A standard spa treatment, rub of the shoulders, back and arms just isn’t going to cut it. In the age of advancing technology you not only want, but deserve high-tech relaxation systems, biometric sensing and hydropools. Where to find this unique experience? Mottram Hall brings to you the Alfresco Thermospace.

Each shot of steam releases an invigorating alpine fragrance in The Brechelbath Experience, whilst the copper ceiling pushes the steam down the side of the walls creating a warm, mild and humid heat.

Creating a sense of wellbeing, the Mineral Stonebath gently increases in humidity and room temperature by lifting and lowering a basket of stones. Or if you want to feel nearly weightless by floating in a heated body of water but completely dry at the same time, then the Soft-Pack Sensory Treatment is for you. With the UK’s first mobile steam bath designed to promote wellbeing and relaxation, you can enjoy a range of muscle and skin treatments.

I’m sure you now want to WIN a night stay at Mottram Hall with inclusive use of the UK’s 1st Alfresco ThermoSpace! Start entering on our competition page to win...

Stockton Duathlon 29 Apr 2014

On Sunday 27th April we completed Stockton Duathlon in the fog, rain and cold; and we are pleased to announce we didn't come last!!!.

We saw the Duathlon as a challenge for the HG team and a great opportunity to raise money for the Great North Air Ambulance. We took part in the Sprint distance which included a 5K run, 20K cycle and 2K run, we entered two teams each completing one part of the Duathlon. Now this may not seem hard to some, however for 6 people who consider typing on their keyboard at work part of their daily exercise routine it was always going to be tough!

Our aim is to raise £500.00 for the Great North Air Ambulance; we haven’t quite reached our total so any further donations would be greatly appreciated. http://www.justgiving.com/Hospitality-Guaranteed

Watch this space for what we have in store for next year!

North East Business Awards 2014 10 Apr 2014

Everyone at Hospitality Guaranteed was thrilled to have been a finalist at this year’s North East Business Awards, Teesside region. Shortlisted in the Internet and ICT category for our bespoke online system Conference Stop, the award recognises companies that have used web technology, including ICT, e-commerce and e-business, to enhance their business.

The awards are a celebration of North East business and hundreds of business leaders packed Teesside University’s Olympia Building for the black tie event, which shone the spotlight on the best of business in the region.

The event which included; drinks reception, three course dinner, guest speaker Journalist and broadcaster Julia Hartley followed by the much anticipated awards. It was a fantastic event and we were extremely impressed by the service, venue and atmosphere throughout the whole evening.

Bring on next year!

Experience DeVere Oulton Hall 06 Mar 2014

De Vere Oulton Hall’s sweeping driveway leads to the impressive entrance where I was met by the beaming smile of the concierge; something I was highly glad to see as the rain was pouring and I wanted to make a quick dash into the hotel.

I had heard that the hotel had recently joined Maiden Voyage and undergone training to meet the requirements so I had high expectations for this visit; the hotel did not disappoint.

Maiden Voyage hotels are personally inspected by a female representative and have to meet strict requirements to be recommended; as minimum properties must have 24 hour manned reception, a well-lit entrance and secure rooms with at least two independent locks. They also like those added extras which make your stay extra special, such as quality toiletries, a selection of ladies magazines, removable coat hangers and proper hairdryers; which I was glad to hear about as I hate the push button models you often see in hotels! It ensures that the hotel lives and breathes female friendly ethics; security and awareness are the key factors which are considered. As a regular lone female traveller I felt this was a fantastic selling point for the hotel and something I will always consider when looking for hotels in the future.

I was lucky enough to be allocated one of their new concept rooms, Chambre Unique, this was beautifully light in décor and had some great little extras including a Starbucks coffee machine; as a coffee lover I thought this was a great touch and a vast improvement on the normal coffee offering in many hotels.

My early arrival at the hotel meant I had time to use the spa where I treated myself to the ESPA facial; this was customised to my skin and was fantastic. I followed this by relaxing in the pool, the chill out music and ever changing lighting made this a fantastic place to unwind.

Located just 20 minutes from Leeds this hotel is perfect for both leisure breaks and corporate stays.

A visit to Hotel Indigo Kensington 14 Feb 2014

Visiting venues across the UK enables us to have a knowledgeable team who recommend and give advice based on first hand personal experience. Our blog is a great way for us to share those individual touches...

Arriving at Earls Court tube station, eager to reach my hotel, I feel relieved when my Satnav tells me I just have a few minutes’ walk to the Hotel Indigo Kensington. This boutique style hotel is tucked away in the heart of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and is surrounded by nearby restaurants.

I look up at Hotel Indigo as it blends into the rich heritage of the neighbourhood giving a sense of Victorian nostalgia, and as I walk through to the grand entrance hall it’s as if I've stepped back in time. The different communities brought together in Earl’s Court location are reflected heavily in the bedroom decor as they have a bright, quirky and modern theme all of which add to the unique style of the hotel.

As the night draws in and the soft fluffiness of the bed pillows hug around my head I know I will enjoy a good night sleep after familiarising myself with the complimentary Aveda products. I didn’t think there was anything else I needed until hot chocolate was brought to me in a flask with a Beatrix Potter book making my night complete. Having stayed in many hotels before, the extra little touches like the sweet smell of chocolate rising from my flask and the hardback feel of a traditional English novel in my hands at bedtime makes, a massive difference.

I always look forward to a hotel breakfast, it’s the one time you always forget you are on a diet and this one did not disappoint. Again it was the unique touches which added to the experience such as the newspaper style menu. I decided to resist the chocolate and vanilla waffles although they did look amazing and went for the eggs benedict instead.

The Hotel Indigo Kensington has left a lasting impression and I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a one off corporate stay or a trip away with the family.
