Saying a BIG 'Thank You'04 Aug 2015
The Hospitality Guaranteed team would like to say a very big ‘Thank You’ to all who sponsored us to partake in a 5k colour powdered run with a variety of 9 obstacles along the way…
We have raised an incredible £505.00 so far and we aren’t stopping just yet. We are still receiving donations and we have some great ideas hidden up our sleeves to reach our target of £1000, by the end of April 2016.
The ColorRushRun took place at Newcastle Racecourse on Sunday 19th July; however, the event was spread over both Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th. This meant some runners had already completed the obstacle course the day before we were due to run.
To my surprise, seeing all the colourful pictures on social media, I could not believe how much powder paint you actually got covered in. What had we got ourselves into!
We hit lucky with the weather and the sun certainly had his hat on for most of the day, although it didn’t matter much since we had to run through a pit of foam and were soaked right through!
I thought I would share with you my highlight of the day. When we tackled one of the very last obstacles, our Apprentice Manager, Fiona Jack, and son to the Director, Tom, raced over the obstacle with pure determination to beat one another! This was fascinating to watch as the most exercise I have seen Fiona do is walking to the kettle for her fix of caffeine; she was like lighting bolting across the inflatable!
Obviously, Fiona couldn’t out run rugby player Tom, but it was amusing to watch her try!
